Sadatomo Harada Soke is a towering figure in Okinawan and Japanese martial arts, serving as the 5th Soke of the Seishinkai lineage. Born in Osaka in 1936, his martial journey began at Kansai University, a pivotal institution where Shito-ryu was first introduced to the university system by Kenwa Mabuni.

Chronology

1936: Born in Osaka, Japan.

1954: Commenced Shito-ryu Karate at Kansai University under Shihan Ken Sakio (9th Dan) and Shihan Kazuo Kokubu.

1958: Graduated from Kansai University. Founded and served as the first President of the "All Kansai College Alumni Karate-Do Association."

1958: Appointed Vice-President of the Japan Student Karate Federation and Shihan Proxy for Seishinkai Karate-Do.

1964: Collaborated in the formation of the Japan Karate Federation (JKF) under R. Sasagawa.

1974: Appointed President of the Shito-ryu Kansai University Alumni Karate-Do Club.

1997: Served as Technical Advisor for the Seishinkai Karate-Do Union.

1999: Following the passing of Kunio Tatsuno, he was announced by the Veterans Council as the 5th Soke Kaicho of Seishinkai Karate Japan (9th Dan).

1999: Appointed President of the All Japan Ju-Jutsu Federation.

2003: Named Honorary President of the International Seishinkai Karate Union (ISKU).

2007: Appointed President of the Osaka City Karate-do Federation.
